Gregg’s oil field career has been one of consistent success and growth. He began as a Lease Operator in 1993 with Parker & Parsley and learned the basics of the Permian oil fields. Gregg was promoted to Production Technician where he learned to maximize production, predict and solve future issues. In 1999, CrownQuest Operating was formed, Gregg was one of the original employees.
Gregg had far-reaching responsibilities at CrownQuest including production operations, drilling, and completions. He was responsible for spending levels and personnel. Gregg played a significant role in the growth of the young company.
In 2006 Gregg was recruited by Legacy Reserves to fill a critical role in their Operations group. He was hired as a Production Superintendent and quickly became the “go-to” guy for Operations, Regulatory, Environmental matters, interfacing with Accounting, and more. Gregg was promoted in 2014 to Operations Manager for Permian and continued to be the leader for many oil field functions including the facilities and producing operations for Legacy’s horizontal program. He is well known for building strong operating teams and has mentored and helped develop literally hundreds of people.
Gregg holds certifications in IADC Well Control, Artificial Lift, Well Completions, Pump Design, Fire Fighting, S-Rod, and numerous other oil field functions.
Gregg is an avid outdoorsman, husband, father, and grandfather. Gregg and his family enjoy the lake life. They have made lasting memories through-out the years — fishing, skiing and late evening boat rides. Gregg was involved in Little League for several years serving on the board at North Central. Gregg has also served on HOA Boards and has volunteered in the community. Gregg and his family are members of First Baptist Church and believe God is the cornerstone of his personal and professional life.
Gregg is a Co-Founder of Crossroads Oil and Gas and is committed to the oil field and its people.
